Special Camp to settle pending works of Punjab colonizers on Oct 16: Mundian

Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led State Government is organizing a special camp for the first time on 16th October to settle pending cases of citizens and colonizers, in which certificates will be given in at least 50 cases of colonizers.

It was stated by Housing and Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian during a meeting with the officials of CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India) at Punjab Bhawan Chandigarh today.

S. Mundian further said that on the directives of the Chief Minister, zero pendency is being ensured with regard to the works of colonizers and citizens in order to provide smooth and timely services. He said that after the first camp on 16th October, a second such camp would be organized in the end of November in which all out efforts would be made to settle as many pending cases as possible.

The Housing and Urban Development Minister further said that if any officer of the department demands bribe related to the cases of colonizers, then complaint should be sent immediately to the department’s email transparency.hud@gmail.com which will be addressed directly to him and the Secretary.

He said that the officials of the department have been instructed that whenever the citizen or colonizers come for work in any office, their issues should be listened to and sorted out on priority basis.

S. Mundian said that the State Government is committed to the planned development of the cities in which the real estate sector is likely to be a major contributor. Besides, Strict action is being taken by the government against unauthorized colonies.

Apart from this, from October 18 to 29, the government is starting the second auction of government properties. He said that no one would be allowed to play with the environment while carrying out the development centric works.

Secretary, Rahul Tewari said that camps will be held every month for the clearance of pending cases. Till now 1000 pending cases of various types in the department have been reduced to 100 due to the hard work of the officers of the department and the aim is to eliminate it completely in the future.

On the occasion, the CREDAI officials welcomed the Cabinet Minister and honoured him along with the officials. Appreciating the first such camp being organized by the government, he said that it is a novel step. Cabinet Minister S. Mundian said that such meetings would be held regularly with a view to ascertain the demands and feedback of the colonizers.

The meeting was also attended by Chief Administrator (CA) GMADA Moneesh Kumar, CA PUDA and Director Town and Country Planning Neeru Katyal Gupta, and ACA PUDA Innayat.
