Bihar Transfers – 14 IAS Officers Transferred

In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar reassigned 14 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to new positions on Wednesday, officials confirmed.

In addition to this, 11 IAS officers have been transferred to the General Administration Department (GAD) and are now awaiting new postings. Most of the officers impacted by this reshuffle belong to the 2019 and 2020 IAS batches.

Several city commissioners have been appointed to new roles. Sumit Kumar (2019 batch), previously the Saran city commissioner, has been appointed as the new Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) of Bettiah.

Preeti, also from the 2019 batch, who was serving as DDC in Khagaria, has been named the new city commissioner of Bhagalpur.

Naveen Kumar, another 2019 batch IAS officer, previously the city commissioner of Muzaffarpur, has been appointed as the new DDC of Gaya.

Yatendra Kumar Pal, who was the Rohtas city commissioner, has now been appointed as Saran DDC.

Ara DDC Vikram Veerkar will assume the role of Muzaffarpur city commissioner.

Saran DDC Priyanka Rani has been named as the new DDC of Nawada.

Nawada DDC Deepak Kumar Mishra has been assigned the position of Nalanda city commissioner.

Additionally, Shreshta Anupam from the 2020 batch has been appointed as the new Muzaffarpur DDC.
