Statue of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur to be reinstalled at ISBT SAS Nagar: DC Aashika Jain

The Statue of Great Sikh Warrior Baba Banda Singh Bahadur will be restored after making some repairs to it, said Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain, today, here.

She said that the Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Inter State Bus Terminal, SAS Nagar Mohali has been maintained by a private company C & C Towers selected by GMADA and as the statue has some wear and tear, so it has been removed for repair.

The Deputy Commissioner further said that the great Sikh warrior has an important place in the hearts of every Punjabi and there is no second thought about it. He denied the allegations of disrespect of the great Sikh warrior with the removal of this statute. The Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann respects the warriors and freedom fighters utmost.

She said that it would take 4 to 5 weeks to reinstate the statue after completing the requisite maintenance as apprised by the Company MD Mandeep Kohli.
