The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested ER Alok Garg, working under the HKRN scheme in the Yamunanagar Municipal Corporation, for accepting a bribe of ₹5000. The accused allegedly demanded the bribe from a complainant’s friend in return for correcting property ID details.
Providing details, a government spokesperson stated that the ACB received information about Garg’s demand for a bribe in exchange for the property ID correction. Upon investigating the matter, the ACB set up a trap and caught the accused red-handed while accepting the ₹5000 bribe.
The operation was conducted in the presence of witnesses, ensuring full transparency. Garg has been taken into custody and a case has been registered against him at the ACB Police Station in Panchkula. Further investigation is ongoing.
