Actor Tanushree Dutta has expressed concern over ongoing Gen Z protests and called for greater attention towards national security and border-related issues, while urging young people to voice their concerns responsibly.
In a social media post, Dutta shared her views on the unrest and wrote, “Gen-Z ke kandhe par bandook hai… Nishana hai India,” suggesting that external factors could be influencing the situation.
She said reforms in the education system were already underway and urged people to shift focus towards securing the country’s borders and pursuing constructive efforts.
“Best not to disturb a well-functioning administrative setup simply based on fiery emotions and mob influence,” she wrote, while addressing the younger generation to remain cautious about external influence.
Dutta said young people were valued and that their concerns mattered, but added that they should carefully evaluate information before reacting. She warned that instability in the country’s leadership and administrative systems could create vulnerabilities.
In an accompanying video, the actress elaborated on her views, claiming that India was facing security challenges along multiple borders, particularly with Bangladesh and China. She said the Bangladesh border situation required attention and linked recent developments to tensions in the region.
Dutta also referred to the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in strengthening border security, while stating that she was not dismissing the concerns behind student protests. She said the issues that initially triggered the protests had been addressed and questioned the need for further escalation.
She appealed for continuity in leadership during sensitive times, saying those handling key responsibilities understand the challenges involved and that sudden changes could create vulnerabilities.
Dutta concluded by urging Gen Z to remain aware of the complexities of politics and avoid making decisions based solely on emotions or public pressure.
