Jamia Millia’s coaching academy celebrates 120 selections in civil services, other exams

New Delhi, July 13, 2026
Jamia Millia Islamia’s (JMI) Residential Coaching Academy (RCA), Centre of Coaching and Career Planning (CCCP), hosted its first-ever alumni meet in its 15-year history and celebrated 120 selections in civil services and other competitive exams in 2025-26, an official said on Monday.

Titled “Ek Shaam RCA Ke Naam,” the event held last week brought together more than 30 alumni from across the country while celebrating the academy’s highest-ever annual achievement of 120 selections in the UPSC Civil Services Examination, Indian Forest Service Examination, State Civil Services, and other Central Services during 2025–26, said JMI Chief Public Relations Officer Saima Saeed.

Alumni serving in various services travelled from different states of the country to be part of the celebration, making the gathering as much a reunion of shared memory as a milestone of collective achievement, said Saeed in a statement.

The event was held under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Mazhar Asif and Registrar Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi, whose vision and guidance have resulted in the stellar growth of the Academy.

Professor Samina Bano, In-Charge, RCA, said the record achievement reflects the university’s sustained support, strategic vision, and administrative leadership, which have enabled the Academy to reach new milestones.

Established with the mission of providing quality, residential coaching to students preparing for the civil services and other competitive examinations, RCA also placed on record its appreciation for the officials associated with it, the statement said.

Officiating Controller of Examinations, Professor Ahteshamul Haque, whose valuable insight and meticulous planning have contributed significantly to RCA’s All India Entrance Test, along with the Finance Officer and other university officials, won praise for their continued institutional support, it said.

The watershed achievement of 120 selections in a single year stands as a testament to the hard work and perseverance of RCA’s candidates; the dedication of the RCA team, RCA counsellors, and the Academic Coordinator and Lead; and the enduring support of resource persons, test series, specialised sessions, mentoring by alumni mock panellists and supporting staff, said the statement.

The evening’s programme included felicitation of the selected candidates and reflections from alumni on their journey from RCA’s classrooms to the corridors of public service, said the statement.

Saba Mahmood Bashir, Assistant Professor In-Charge, RCA, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar for their vision and steadfast commitment to RCA and Jamia Millia Islamia, the statement said.(Agency)
