New Delhi, July 10, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)
Aam Aadmi Party National (AAP) Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced that the party will organise a Sundarkand recitation in Delhi on Sunday, followed by the launch of a nationwide signature campaign seeking action against those of committing ‘dacoity’ at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. The Sundarkand recitation will be held at 10 a.m. at JMD Tent, Japanese Park, Sector 10, Rohini, after which the campaign will be launched with the blessings of Bhagwan Hanuman.
Announcing the programme, the AAP Chief asserted that recent developments indicate the Modi government is protecting those responsible instead of ensuring they are punished. Calling upon Sanatani Hindus to participate, he urged ‘bhakts’ to attend the Sundarkand recitation in large numbers, and shared that a discussion would follow on the future course of action. He announced that Ram Bhakts would sign a letter addressed to the Prime Minister as part of the nationwide campaign.
Addressing a press conference, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that the developments of the past few days show that the Modi government, from top to bottom, is making every possible effort to protect those who committed ‘mahapaap’ of ‘chanda-chori’ at the home of Prabhu Shri Ram. “There have been massive land scams, and all the documents are available. Land worth ₹2 crore was purchased by the mandir trust for ₹18 crore. Despite all the documentary evidence being available, there has been no investigation, no FIR has been registered, and no one has been arrested,” he revealed.
Pointing to irregularities in construction contracts, the AAP Supremo asserted, “Open allegations are being made about which companies were awarded construction contracts. Their engineers themselves are saying that a 40% commission was demanded in construction work, yet there is no investigation. ‘Chanda-Chori’ was done at a huge scale, and numerous incidents were captured on CCTV cameras, but even those are not being investigated.”
Calling for public participation, Arvind Kejriwal said, “Eight low level individuals have been arrested and sent to jail, while every effort is being made to shield the big names. In such a situation, the people must raise their voice and seek the blessings of the Bhagwan Ji. Therefore, on July 12, Sunday, at 10 a.m., we will organise a recitation of the Sundarkand at JMD Tent, Japanese Park, Sector 10, Rohini. I appeal to all ‘bhakts’ and followers of Bhagwan Ram to attend in large numbers. After the Sundarkand recitation, we will seek the blessings of Bhagwan Hanuman and launch a signature campaign.”
Explaining the campaign, he continued, “This signature campaign will be carried out across the country. It is not just an Aam Aadmi Party campaign. Wherever there are ‘bhakts’ of Bhagwan Ram and people of faith who are hurt by these developments, they will all participate. As part of this campaign, there is a letter from an ordinary citizen addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
Detailing the next steps, the AAP Chief said, “These letters will be signed as we go door to door. Thousands of Hanuman Chalisa recitations will be organised across Delhi and other places. People will recite the Hanuman Chalisa, sing the aarti of Bhagwan Hanuman and Bhagwan Ram, and then sign this letter with deep devotion. All these letters will subsequently be sent to the Prime Minister.”
Expressing confidence in the initiative, Arvind Kejriwal emphasised, “When people undertake this effort after seeking the blessings of Bhagwan Ji, ‘Chanda-Chors’ who committed dacoity at the home of Bhagwan Ram will certainly be punished. It is the duty and dharma of every Sanatani to make every possible effort to ensure that those who committed this ‘mahapaap’ at the home of Bhagwan Ram are brought to justice. Everyone who participates in this effort, along with their family, will receive immense blessings.”
Ram Bhakts will sign this letter addressed to the Prime Minister
“Respected Prime Minister,
The ‘chanda-chori’ at the Shri Ram Mandir has shaken me to the core. Crores of ‘bhakts’ contributed to the construction of the Shri Ram Mandir from their hard earned savings, whether small or large. Many even donated their entire life’s savings, and most did not ask for a receipt because they believed this was the house of God. They never imagined they would have to seek an account of what they had offered. Today, that faith has been deeply hurt.
Prime Minister, you personally took the lead in every aspect related to the Shri Ram Mandir. You constituted the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and personally selected and appointed each of its members, all of whom are considered to be your close associates. Now, after such large-scale wrongdoing, your silence has deeply saddened me. Since before 2021, the media has prominently reported allegations of land scams involving the Trust, demands for commissions of up to 40% in construction works, and now the ‘chanda-chori’ of Mandir offerings on such a massive scale.
I kept believing that all of this would be within your knowledge and that you would ensure no guilty person escaped punishment. However, the developments of the past few days have shaken my faith. It appears that instead of ensuring those responsible for wrongdoing against Bhagwan Ji are punished, attempts are being made to protect them. It seems that the SIT and the FIR are merely an attempt to mislead the public and bury the matter. Eight junior workers have been arrested while efforts are being made to shield the powerful.
Prime Minister, please do not do this. Those guilty of stealing from the Mandir of Bhagwan Ram should be hanged. Protecting them is ‘mahapaap’. I am writing this letter to you with great hope.”
