In a surprise decision, The Bharatiya Janata Party has withdrawn its first list of 44 candidates announced for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections.
The list released Monday was withdrawn within 2 hours of making it public.
According to party sources the list would be issued afresh after making some changes.
It is in the air that some prominent aspirants were left out of the first list leading to disappointment.
Polling in Jammu and Kshmir for the first phase is scheduled for September 18, the second phase on Sept 25 and the final phase on October 1.
