Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka, President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), informed that the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, S. Taranjit Singh Sandhu, paid a visit to the office of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee today.
He stated that on this occasion, the members of DSGMC extended a warm and respectful welcome to the Lieutenant Governor.
During the visit, a cordial and meaningful interaction took place between the office bearers and members of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and the Lieutenant Governor.
Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka said that the visit of the Lieutenant Governor to the DSGMC office is a matter of great honour and pride for the Committee. He expressed that DSGMC looks forward to a new phase of close coordination and constructive cooperation with the Lieutenant Governor, which will further strengthen Sikh institutions, gurdwaras, and socio-religious activities in Delhi.
He also expressed confidence that in the coming time, through mutual understanding and cooperation between the Delhi Government and DSGMC, several significant initiatives will be undertaken for the welfare of the Sikh community and society at large.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister of Delhi, Mrs. Rekha Gupta, and Cabinet Minister Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa were also present.
