Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt of India organised a drawing competition on the occasion of Rajat Jayanti of Kargil Vijay Diwas which is being celebrated across the Nation, tomorrow.
The competition was organised amongst the students taking coaching in various fields at the Sainik Institute of Management and Technology in local Sainik Welfare Office. The competition was part of the Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations, on the occasion of which, the CBC is putting up a photo-exhibition at the Sainik Welfare Office, tomorrow.
Lt. Gen. JS Dhillon (Retd.), who was the Chief Guest, lauded CBC for organizing such events to motivate youngsters to work for the progress of the nation. He called upon students to think beyond going to foreign countries to work. He said rather the young minds should contribute in the progress of India by working here.
Field Publicity Officer (FPO) Rajesh Bali pinned a specially designed Kargil Vijay Diwas badge on Lt. Gen. Dhillon and Wing Commander Gurpreet Singh (Retd) on this occasion.
Later, Lt. Gen. Dhillon along with Wing Commander Singh and FPO, Bali awarded the winners.
Amongst the winners, Tamana adjudged First, Jaspreet Kaur Second, Taniya Third and Kamalpreet Kaur won the Consolation prize.
Registrar, Sainik Institutes, Punjab, Dr. Parminder Kaur Saini and Faculty Incharge, Prof. Chandni Sharma were the judges to select the winners.
