The Youth Akali Dal (SAD) today resolved to thoroughly expose the anti-people corrupt Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government which had sold out the interests of the state besides betraying each and every section of society in the forthcoming, Jalandhar Lok Sabha by poll.
Presiding over a meeting of the YAD, it’s Coordinator Parambans Singh Romana held detailed discussions with the YAD senior leadership to devise a youth strategy to expose AAP in the forthcoming by poll.
Speaking on the occasion, youth leaders said all sections of society felt betrayed by the AAP government, which had gone back on all its promises. They said youth were particularly discriminated against with even vacancies in government jobs not being refilled even as few recruitments held under the AAP regime were characterised by nepotism, corruption and even fraud.
They said the youth, who had played an important role in bringing AAP to power, were thoroughly disillusioned by it and would play a major role in ensuring the rout of the party in the Jalandhar by poll.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Parambans Romana said the youth would confront AAP functionaries and force them to explain why governance in Punjab had been sublet to the party‘s high command in Delhi. “We will also force the Punjab AAP to condemn its Convenor Arvind Kejriwal‘s pro- Haryana stance on the Sutlej Yamuna Link Canal before seeking votes for the party in the bypoll”.
He said the manner in which Prof Devinderpal Singh Bhullar was not being released because Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal was not signing his release orders since were the last one year, would also be a prominent issued in the bypoll. . “The youth are also agitated by the support extended to convicted rapist Gurmeet Ram Rahim by chief minister Bhagwant Mann by facilitating Ram Raheem’s Satsang in Punjab and will demand that this be stopped immediately”.
Spelling out an action oriented dynamic youth strategy for the by poll campaign, Mr Romana said separate committees would be made to give a cutting edge to the SAD- BSP alliance in the bypoll. He said a coordination exercise had also being initiated with the BSP youth cadre to give a joint fight to the corrupt and failed AAP government as well as any- Sikh Congress and divisive BJP.
SAD IT Cell President Nashattar Singh Gill also attended the meeting.
