Sukhbir Singh Badal, president of Shiromani Akali Dal, Tuesday said that he will appear at the highest place, Sri Akal Takht Sahib, with reverence and humility.
Notably, a campaign to unseat Sukhbir Singh Badal from the post of president of Shiromani Akali Dal is being led by a group of senior rebel leaders being termed as ‘rebels’. The rebel faction recently appeared before Akal Takht and demanded that Sukhbir Singh Badal be summoned before Akal Takht.
Given this, according to the decision taken at the meeting of Panj Singh Sahibs held recently, Sukhbir Singh Badal has been summoned to appear before Akal Takht Sahib within 15 days and give his explanation.
Expressing his reaction in this regard today through social media, Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that, as a devout and humble Sikh, he is dedicated to Sri Guru Granth Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the highest shrine of Miri Piri.
