Big reshuffle in Delhi Sikh politics is being seen now-a-days. While giving details in this regard, Mr Inder Mohan Singh, former member of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) & Expert in Delhi Gurdwara Affairs said that whereas the DSGMC controlled group has announced the formation of a new party named ‘Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi State’, sudden affection of opposition groups towards Shiromani Akali Dal is quite surprising on the other side.
He said that in a recent meeting called by the JAGO Party, its supporters strongly appealed to President Manjit Singh G.K. to take over command of the Shiromani Akali Dal. While continuing this campaign, Paramjit Singh Sarna, President of Shiromani Akali Dal went a step ahead and recently called a meeting of Sikh intellectuals in Ludhiana thereby making an appeal to improve the deteriorating image of the said Shiromani Akali Dal.
Mr Inder Mohan Singh asked the opposite groups involved in Delhi Sikh politics that how suddenly they have come forward now to save the Shiromani Akali Dal when its political graph was continuously being lowered during the past many years. While raising doubts, he said that the opposite groups are bent upon to improve the image of Shiromani Akali Dal by sacrificing their own identity, whereas it is well known that neither these opposite group can shun their ego to come on a common platform nor the command of Shiromani Akali Dal can come in their hand easily.
Mr Inder Mohan Singh said that as per information received, there are apprehensions that Manjit Singh G.K. can very soon be appointed as President of Delhi Unit of Shiromani Akali Dal. If it happens, then Sarna brothers’ Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi and Harmeet Singh Kalka’s new party Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi State can suffer big loss and due to his political strategy Manjit Singh G.K. can take control as President of the DSGMC in near future. Mr Inder Mohan Singh said that it will be a great reshuffle in Delhi Sikh politics due to which the day-to-day functioning of the DSGMC can be badly affected.
