A farmer protesting against Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Preneet Kaur died during a scuffle with security personnel.
Farmers all over Punjab are protesting against BJP candidates. The farmers say they want to seek the answers to their questions but the candidates are not ready to answer.
Preneet Kaur’s convoy was stopped by the farmers carrying black flags and raising slogans as she reached Sehra village. During the scuffle of farmers with accompanying security personnel, farmer Surinder Pal Singh fell on the ground and suffered a head injury.
Surinder Pal Singh was rushed to a Rajpura Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
After this incident, farmers have started gathering in Rajpura. The farmers union are likely to announce the next course of action in the matter after diue deliberations.
