The Punjab Government has declared half-day holiday on Wednesday, August 7, as a mark of respect to Smt. Sushma Swaraj, who passed last night in a hospital at Delhi.
A circular issued in this respect said all govt., semi-government offices, Corporations, Boards and Educational Institutions in the state would remain closed for second-half.
Sushma Swaraj a senior BJP leader, a former Union Minister, former Delhi Chief Minister and former Leader of Opposition in Parliament was not keeping well for quite some time and had opted out of parliament elections this time due to health reasons.
