Senior Congress leader and Rural Development Minister in the Punjab government Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa today said that every new day was bringing new revelation about BJP candidate Sunny Deol’s political ignorance.
Reacting to the BJP candidate’s criticism of the Congress candidate Sunil Jakhar that he was speaking against him, Bajwa said, “there is nothing surprising about it as we know Sunny Deol is absolutely ignorant even about the basic things in politics”.
He said, the BJP candidate should know that debate and discussion and questions and answers are part of political discourse. “It is not a film set where you are given everything scripted including your smiles and sorrows, it is hardcore politics where you have to be your own master”, Bajwa advised Deol.
The Congress leader maintained that Deol may be a good actor but that does not necessarily qualify him to become a leader and a representative of the people and that too of a border area like Grudaspur. “Instead of questioning Jakhar’s questioning him, he should come out with answers and not take anything to the heart”, the Congress minister observed.
Bajwa said, after getting a warm welcome on his first day in Grudaspur, the Bollywood star has realized that the first reception was out of curiosity and now people will ask him questions for which he (Deol) has no answers. “Eventually he has started getting furious and frustrated, when he should be sober and sensible to answer their questions”, he remarked.
