Soundarya Rajinikanth, younger daughter of Superstar Rajinikanth, has expressed her excitement over the reception to her father’s latest film, ‘Jailer 2’, saying the action entertainer is set to create history in Tamil cinema.
Taking to Instagram to share her thoughts on the film and the response from fans, Soundarya described her father as an emotion for millions of people who admire him.
“Thalaivar is an emotion, not just for me but for everyone who loves him. It’s something words can’t describe; you can only feel it,” she wrote.
Calling ‘Jailer 2’ a sensational blockbuster, she praised Rajinikanth’s screen presence and celebrated his long career in the film industry.
“My Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, my appa absolutely rocks the screen! 51 years of entertaining us. 51 years of Rajinism,” she wrote.
Soundarya also praised director Nelson Dilipkumar for the film and complimented music composer Anirudh Ravichander for taking its cinematic moments to another level.
“My dear @nelsondilipkumar jiiiii, what a film! And my dearest brother @anirudhofficial, the elevations you’ve created have taken it to another level. What a way to celebrate your birthday this year! To the entire brilliant cast and crew, so much love. I could go on and on about this film, but I’m too emotional to say more,” she posted.
Urging fans to watch the film repeatedly, Soundarya concluded her message by expressing confidence in its place in Tamil cinema.
“Watch Jailer 2 again and again and again. This film is going to create history in Tamil cinema. SO PROUD!!!! SO SO PROUD!!!!” she wrote.
The Central Board of Film Certification has cleared Nelson Dilipkumar’s action entertainer ‘Jailer 2’, starring Rajinikanth in the lead role, with a U/A certificate.
The film was released worldwide on October 15, 2026, and had generated considerable anticipation among fans and moviegoers since its announcement.
In April this year, the makers announced that shooting had been completed and shared pictures of a cake-cutting ceremony held to mark the occasion.
