The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) termed Navjot Singh Sidhu as a stuntman and said that the government had ordered his release at eight o’clock in the morning. He was coming out of jail after serving his sentence for killing an elderly person, not after fighting for freedom.
Party chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang asked why the gimmicks of Dhol Nagade? Sidhu has always been a loquacious person and he will remain the same. An elderly person had lost his life because of him, rather than giving statements he should introspect about that.
He added that after serving the punishment for his crimes, he should be little humble, but he is the same Navjot Singh Sidhu, big words from day one. By making personal remarks on the Chief Minister, he proved that he still hasn’t grabbed the reality that Bhagwant Mann is elected CM of three crore Punjabis.
Kang said that he should spend this time with his family. Deliberately Sidhu is creating such an atmosphere as if he was under political custody, the people of Punjab know everything and had already rejected him.
Kang reminded Sidhu that his government advertised 36,000 false jobs, took loans at high interest rates, and people of Punjab are aware of everything. So, Sidhu should avoid giving statements in his over excitement. He said that the Mann government is working for the welfare of Punjab’s people.
Kang said that due to the bad weather, there has been a lot of damage to the crops and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is working diligently to help our farmers best and giving compensation. In the previous governments of which you were also a part, the ministers were corrupt and looting Punjab.
Kang added that Mr Sidhu needs to rest, we understand that when someone comes after spending so long in a place like jail, he needs some stability, he needs peace, he needs to sit in the midst of his family and pray to God.
Party spokesperson Jagtar Singh Sanghera said that Navjot Singh Sidhu should compare the works done by the Mann government in one year with the works of his various previous governments. He added that the Mann government has done way more in a year than them together. He said that Navjot Singh Sidhu was part of the government who used to give 40 rs cheques to the farmers for their crop losses whereas Mann government is giving the maximum compensation to the farmers.
