The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Harjinder Singh Dhami has suspended 51 employees by taking exemplary action in the case of administrative irregularities found in Langar (community kitchen) Sri Guru Ramdas Ji at Sri Darbar Sahib.
Sharing information in this regard, SGPC secretary Partap Singh said that an investigation was ordered through SGPC’s flying department after this matter came to the notice, and this action has been taken as per the investigation report.
He said that the suspended employees include managers, supervisors, storekeepers deputed at Langar Sri Guru Ramdas Ji, and gurdwara inspectors who performed the duties at that time. He said that out of these 51 suspended employees, 2 storekeepers were suspended during the preliminary investigation.
Meanwhile, SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami has said that any negligence and irregularity in the Gurdwara management will not be tolerated. He said that the religious sentiments of the Sangat (community + devotees) are associated with the Gurdwaras, and representing these sentiments is the primary responsibility of the managers and employees of the Gurdwaras. Whoever harms the Gurdwara management will not be spared, he added.
