Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Monday appealed to the people of Ludhiana to report any kind of illegal mining activity on ‘Punjabmines’ android app.
Divulging more information, the Deputy Commissioner said that the app has been developed by the state government for effective vigil unlawful mining activities.
Deputy Commissioner said that the app users can lodge their complaints including with location and pictures of the site.
He told that complaint would be directly submitted to the concerned Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner of Police, Senior Superintendent of Police, and Executive Engineer-cum-District Mining Officers for immediate action against the guilty.
He added that the app is available on the Google play store.
