Chandigarh, April 20, 2020 (Yes Punjab News)
In response to the Chief Secretary Sh. Karan Avtar Singh’s appeal and in view of the unprecedented damage caused to Punjab’s economy by the corona virus pandemic, the Chief Information Commissioner and State Information Commissioners at the Punjab State Information Commission (PSIC) have decided to contribute 30% of their basic pay for the next three months (starting April, 2020) to the Punjab Chief Minister’s Relief Fund-Covid 19.
This was voluntarily agreed to by the CIC and all SICs, with a view to support the Punjab Government’s ongoing efforts to pool all available resources to meet the unprecedented challenges post by the emerging public health crisis.
