Chandigarh, February 20, 2026 (Yes Punjab News): In a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening governance and improving administrative efficiency, the Punjab Government on Friday ordered the transfers and postings of a total of 96 officers, including 8 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and 88 Punjab Civil Service (PCS) officers.

According to the official orders issued by the state government, the transfers have been made with immediate effect as part of routine administrative adjustments and to ensure effective functioning across various departments and districts.
The officers concerned have been directed to assume charge of their new assignments without delay. The reshuffle is expected to impact key administrative positions across the state, with several officers being assigned important responsibilities in different departments and field postings.
Such large-scale transfers are periodically undertaken by the government to streamline administrative operations, enhance accountability, and optimize the deployment of officers based on administrative requirements.
