Punjab Government has appointed Prof DP Goyal as Vice Chancellor of Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University, Ferozepur.
Orders issued in this respect state that he has been appointed for a term of three years with effect from the date of assumption of office by him.
He becomes the first regular vice chancellor of the university since its establishment in April 2021.
His last posting was as Professor of Eminence at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong. Prior to that, he remained a Professor at Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon. He also served as a Professor at IMT Ghaziabad.
Prof Goyal was Associate Professor (Reader) at Punjabi University, Patiala till 2002, and Assistant Professor (Lecturer) at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala, till 1996.
An MBA from Punjabi University and PhD in Management Information Systems from Kurukshetra University.
