The Prabhu Deva and Simran-starrer Kamal Sridevi, directed by Krishnanand Kottarapattu, has entered the final stage of filming, with a substantial portion of the romantic entertainer reportedly completed in a single shooting phase.
The film’s title was officially announced on Sunday by producer Magesh Raj Pasilian through an Instagram post. The announcement also confirmed the coming together of Prabhu Deva and Simran, with Mithun Jai Shankar and Smeha Manimegalai playing pivotal roles.
Despite the title announcement creating the impression that production was only beginning, industry sources indicated that filming had progressed considerably and was now nearing completion.
According to a source associated with the project, major portions were filmed in a single phase across Munnar and Chennai, while work on the final schedule is currently underway.
The film is being jointly produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth under the banner of Zion Films and Magesh Raj Pasilian for MRP Entertainments.
Positioned as a romantic entertainer for the entire family, Kamal Sridevi is expected to blend romance with an emotionally engaging narrative, according to sources familiar with the project.
Kottarapattu has written the story in addition to directing the film. Music is being composed by three-time National Award winner G V Prakash, while Sharan Velayudhan is handling cinematography. Editon Raja is in charge of editing, and Rajeevan Nambiar is overseeing production design.
The film brings together Prabhu Deva and Simran in the lead, with the makers promising a new on-screen combination supported by a cast of younger performers.
