Mohali, October 8, 2026 (Manmohan Singh)
On the occasion of the Parinirvana Diwas of Sahib Shri Kanshi Ram Ji, Misl Satluj Party president Ajaypal Singh Brar called upon people to draw inspiration from his ideals and work towards strengthening social equality, economic justice and democratic rights.
Brar said Kanshi Ram Ji played a significant role in awakening socially backward and deprived sections about their rights and encouraged them to pursue political empowerment. He said the central premise of Kanshi Ram Ji’s vision was that genuine social and economic equality could not be fully achieved unless people acquired the ability to shape their own destiny and exercised political power.
Endorsing Kanshi Ram Ji’s conviction that “political power is the master key with which the doors of social, economic and other forms of inequality can be opened,” Brar said the principle was not confined to any particular community or section.
He said the idea continued to offer a powerful source of inspiration to individuals and communities seeking equality, dignity, justice and their rightful place in society.
Brar said the relevance of Kanshi Ram Ji’s ideology had become even greater in the present circumstances. He urged people to rise above caste, religious and regional divisions and become more aware of their constitutional and democratic rights.
He called for collective efforts to build a society based on equality, justice and dignity for every section, both in Punjab and across the country.
Brar said the most meaningful tribute to Kanshi Ram Ji would be to move beyond remembering his legacy and translate his ideals into action. This, he said, required empowering the voices of weaker and marginalised sections and ensuring that they received their rightful share in social, economic and political life.
