The students of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) brought laurels to their alma-mater by winning Bronze Medal in mimicry, fourth position in collage, and fifth position in group song Indian and rangoli events during the 35th North Zone Inter-University Youth Festival 2019-20, organized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, from December 25-29, 2019.
Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice Chancellor PAU, congratulated the students.
Dr (Mrs) Ravinder Kaur Dhaliwal, Director Students’ Welfare, PAU lauded the students for participating with true spirit. She expressed her satisfaction over the discipline and dedication shown by the PAU students.

Briefing about the festival, Mr Satvir Singh, Supervisor Cultural Activities, PAU, said the contingent of 42 members from PAU participated in the North Zone Inter-University Youth Festival in events pertaining to literary, music, theatre and fine arts. Total 37 universities from the Northern India participated in this festival, he added. Students of PAU learnt many new things about the culture of various states of North India, he said.
Dr Suman Sharma, Assistant Professor, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities, and Mr Satvir Singh, Supervisor Cultural Activities, accompanied the PAU contingent.
