Dr. Satish Kumar Gupta, Professor and Incharge, Training and Placement, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (COAET), Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has been honored with the prestigious Guru Award by SAEIndia Foundation and Asahi India.
The award ceremony was held at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Sh. CV Raman, Chief Technical Officer, Maruti Suzuki, Dr. Vibha Dhawan, Director General, TERI, and Mr. IV Rao, President, SAEIndia Foundation.
The Guru Award is one of the highest accolades bestowed by the SAEIndia Foundation, recognizing individuals for their exceptional leadership, innovation, and commitment to their field. Dr. Satish was selected by a jury of eminent experts from leading corporates like Maruti Suzuki, Asahi India, and Subros for his outstanding contributions to mentorship and for actively promoting SAEIndia activities.
With a career spanning 28 years, Dr. Satish has received numerous accolades, including the Commendation Medal Award (2020) by the Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers (ISAE), Best Teacher Award (2017) by the Indian Society for Technical Education, and an Appreciation Certificate from ICAR and PAU.
As a mentor, he has guided the COAETian Innovators team, which won the National TIFAN Competition in 2023 and 2024. Under his tenure as Joint Secretary cum Treasurer of ISAE Punjab Chapter, the chapter won the Best Chapter Award twice.
