To mark significance of International Mother Language Day 2023 a special Documentary film portraying the significance of “Mother Language” was launched by Commissioner Police Ludhiana Mandeep Singh Sidhu, IPS, Vice Chancellor PAU Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal and Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Surabhi Malik, IAS prepared by Punjab’s eminent Author and Nature Artist Harpreet Sandhu today during the event held in Ludhiana.
Vice Chancellor PAU Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal stated that we all collectively need to promote our Mother Language Punjabi, enabling to connect the youth towards their traditional Mother Language. As we all witness round the globe in developed nations the Mother language is the top priority within the government functionary and amongst the natives thus we must learn different languages but need to give top priority to our Mother language and applauded the dedicated efforts of Nature Artist Harpreet Sandhu for compiling an educative Documentary film as well as pictorial work depicting the importance of Punjabi language through Portraits.
To further promote Mother Language, special name boards of the officers of PAU and Police officials printed in Punjabi language were presented to the respective officials by Commissioner Police Ludhiana Mandeep Singh Sidhu, IPS along with Vice Chancellor Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal.
Nature Artist, Director of the Documentary film Harpreet Sandhu said he has dedicated the Documentary film to promote the glory of Punjabi language keeping in view the innovative words narrated by Nelson Mandela, “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language that goes in his heart.”
