Actor-filmmaker Kunal Kemmu has shared a glimpse of his fitness journey, revealing that he recently completed 33 pull-ups — a new personal best after his earlier workout video was cut off at 31.5 repetitions.
Kunal shared a video on Instagram featuring a training session with his trainer, who challenged him to complete 25 pull-ups. Surpassing the target, Kunal finished 33 repetitions and said the latest video captured the complete achievement.
Reflecting on his progress, Kunal said he had initially been able to manage only five to eight pull-ups. He emphasised that improvement comes from consistency and gradually pushing one’s limits.
“The idea is to keep at it and keep adding a few reps every now and then,” Kunal wrote, comparing the approach to progressively increasing weights during strength training.
He added that the focus should be on becoming “a better version of ourself each day”, stressing that there are no shortcuts to sustained progress.
“Life is not a sprint, it’s a marathon,” he said.
On the work front, Kunal was recently seen in the action-comedy film “Vibe”, which also stars Preity Zinta and Sparsh Shrivastava, alongside debutant Vanshika Dhir.
The film, written and directed by Kunal, is produced by Kunal and Chirag Nihalani under Drongo Films. It revolves around two inseparable friends whose ordinary lives turn into a high-energy adventure that tests their friendship and survival instincts.
Kunal has also hosted “Alliance”, the Hindi adaptation of Talpa Studios’ Dutch format created by John de Mol. The show is produced by Banijay Asia.
