Congress MLA from Kapurthala and former Cabinet Minister, Rana Gurjeet Singh, paid humble tribute to the architect of the Indian Constitution, the father of the Dalit empowerment movement, and for the social justice Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar—on his death anniversary.
In a message Rana Gurjeet Singh stated that Dr. Ambedkar not only made an invaluable contribution to laying the strong foundation of Indian democracy, but also waged a historic struggle to secure rights, dignity, and a voice for the deprived and different sections of society. He emphasized that the values enshrined in the Constitution—Equality, Fraternity, and Liberty—continue to stand as the unwavering pillars of nation-building even today.
Appealing to the citizens of the country, Rana Gurjeet Singh urged that we must collectively eradicate discrimination, casteism, inequality, and injustice, and by following the path shown by Dr. Ambedkar, build a new, progressive, and socially harmonious India.
He added that Baba Saheb’s ideology, unwavering resolve, and courageous struggle continue to inspire generations across the nation.
