A documentary titled “Kanpur Files”, created by production house Global Middas Capital (GMC), in association with Global Middas Foundation (GMF), is based on the real Life events of 127 Sikhs Massacred in Kanpur, Utter Pradesh in 1984. The genocide was carried out across different states in the country after the assassination of the then Prime Minister of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi. 1 hours & 25 minutes long Documentary would be launched on GMF & SADDA KHIRDA PUNJAB YouTube channel.
Where do the victims stand in terms of getting legal justice for the killings, loot , compensation for damaging personal properties & businesses, inhuman acts of shame against women, girls & children? What have been the key issues and struggle faced by the victims and their families? What are the challenges being faced by the Sikhs in securing justice for the victims for almost 40 years? What all these families from Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur district went through during 1984 Sikh genocide has been showcased in the documentary.
The objective of the documentary is to put before the world facts for the 1st time based on True Facts, Evidences, Legal Trials details, Loopholes & Hurdles in conducting Investigation, the problems & threats being faced by witnesses, victims & Sardar Kuldip Singh Bhogal, President of the All India Riot Victims Relief Committee, 1984 and his team in this documentary. Jasdeep Kaur has written & Directed the Documentary.
Sardar Inder Preet Singh, Founder, GMF & GMC has appealed to all the Sikhs in India & Internationally from various Religious & Political Institutions/Organizations, Institutions working to safeguard Human Rights, Democratic Rights, Minorities Rights, Civil Liberties ,Interfaith Belief Institutions, Mob Lynching & Instigation of Genocide by targeting specific Community Worldwide to see the documentary and promote it’s shows in Colleges, Universities, Gurdwaras and do a special screening for General Public & those associated with above institutions to create mass level awareness & to appeal to them to support and seek justice on humanitarian grounds.
This incident was very unfortunate but it is a matter of regret that even after about four decades, no concrete action was taken against the main culprits, prime accused and the mastermind behind this massacre who is still absconding and whose involvement is clearly established in 127 Sikh Killings & other criminal violent activities across Kanpur which is exposed in this Documentary with proof.
This is the very first time that the entire journey of 39 years till now since 1984 has been covered with minute detail. This will further assist in getting the United Nations & international coordinated support for getting the long awaited justice and rehabilitation of those who lost everything during nationwide 1984 Sikh Genocide. The documentary was released on 26th November 2023 on Global Midas Group’s GMF and Sadda Khirda Punjab YouTube channels.
