New Delhi, October 9, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Indian Railways has cancelled several trains and rescheduled two others arriving at New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations on Saturday, October 10, citing anticipated road traffic congestion linked to the proposed Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest in the national capital.

The disruptions will affect services scheduled to arrive at the two stations between 4 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday. The Ministry of Railways said the precautionary measures were intended to minimise inconvenience to passengers amid the expected congestion.

According to the ministry, all Mail and Express trains departing from their originating stations after 2 p.m. on October 9 and scheduled to arrive at New Delhi or Hazrat Nizamuddin between 4 a.m. and 2 p.m. on October 10 have been cancelled at source.

Eastern Railway has separately cancelled two Rajdhani Express services departing from West Bengal on Friday: the 12301 Howrah–New Delhi Rajdhani Express and the 12313 Sealdah–New Delhi Rajdhani Express.

Two trains rescheduled by five hours
