The Punjab Government has appointed Naresh Arora (IPS, RR:1994) as Special Director General of Police (Human Rights), Punjab, Chandigarh, with immediate effect.
Naresh Arora was earlier serving as Special DGP, Punjab State Human Rights Commission (PSHRC). As per the order issued by the Department of Home Affairs, he will continue to hold the additional charge of Special DGP, PSHRC, Chandigarh.
The posting has been ordered on administrative grounds and approved by the competent authority.
