The Punjab Government has posted senior IPS officer Gurpreet Singh Bhullar as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Border Range, Amritsar.
Bhullar, a 2004-batch IPS officer from the State Police Service quota, was awaiting posting before being assigned the new responsibility.
He will take over the Border Range from IPS officer Harmanbir Singh, who has been posted as Commissioner of Police, Amritsar.
The posting forms part of the Punjab Government’s latest administrative reshuffle involving eight IPS officers.
The order was issued by the Department of Home Affairs with the approval of the competent authority. Bhullar has been directed to assume his new assignment immediately.
