Innocent Hearts Group Hosts Discussion on ‘Air Pollution and Health’ in collab with ‘Lung Care Foundation’

Innocent Hearts Group, in collaboration with the Lung Care Foundation, successfully hosted a high-impact Round Table Discussion on “Air Pollution and Health” at the Saffron Restaurant, Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions (IHGI), Loharan. The event brought together diverse stakeholders and experts, including Doctors, Academicians, representatives from Agrarian Community, Panchayats, Youth, and Government officials.

The discussion featured insightful presentations by eminent speakers, including Dr. Rajiv Khurana, Dr. Arun Walia, Dr. Chander Bowry, Dr. Rohan, Dr. Ahsanul Haq and Dr. Palak. The speakers highlighted the devastating impact of air pollution on human health and emphasized the need for collective action to address this issue.

The Round table discussion saw an active participation from farmer representatives who shared their concerns and experiences. The government officials from Agriculture department have had a constructive dialogue with the farmer representatives.

A pivotal moment of the event was the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Lung Care Foundation and Innocent Hearts Group. This MoU establishes a framework for long-term collaboration on initiatives and innovations to raise awareness, conduct research, and implement actionable solutions to improve air quality and public health.

The present delegates also appreciated the Innovative Project Ideas exhibited by the students of Innocent Hearts depicting their concerns related to Environment and its Conservation going in-line with UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The event concluded with a shared commitment to enhance community awareness of the health risks associated with air pollution, develop and implement multi-sectoral strategies to address air quality issues, and promote actionable solutions that citizens can adopt in their daily lives to protect themselves from air pollution.
