Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate S. Harjinder Singh congratulating the Sikh Sangat on the occasion of Khalsa Sajna Diwas motivated them to adopt Khalsa’s living.
S. Harjinder Singh said that Sri Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru, founded the Khalsa Panth at Sri Anandpur Sahib on the day of Vaisakhi in 1699 AD, liberating the humanity from the clutches of slavery and showing the path to live with dignity. He said the unique feat of Khalsa’s foundation uplifted those people who had been living a life of slavery for centuries.
Congratulating the Sangat on the historic occasion of Khalsa Sajna Diwas, the SGPC President appealed to them to adopt Khalsa’s living by getting initiated to Sikh faith by drinking Amrit, the blessing of Sri Guru Gobind Singh. He said no human being can move forward with his identity by separating from his history and heritage.
S. Harjinder Singh said that Gurmat Samagams (religious congregations) are organised with full grandeur on the occasion of Khalsa Sajna Diwas at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib, Takht Sri Damdam Sahib, Talwandi Sabo and Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib, Sri Amritsar. He appealed to the Sangat to participate in the Gurmat Samagams along with their family members in large numbers.
