Television producer Ektaa Kapoor has bid an emotional farewell to Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 as the show reached its final episode, reflecting on the lasting impact of the iconic family drama on her personal and professional journey.

In her Instagram post, the television producer revealed that the show was initially planned for just 167 episodes but eventually ran for 450 episodes.
“Last ep of Kyuki today! Some goodbyes are hard but there is love in my heart for Kyuki forever. It’s made me who I am. It’s time to say bye to the show that we were to do for 167 eps but ended up doing for 450 eps. Love always for my Kyuki. Until we meet again,” she wrote.
The conclusion of the shoot has also proved emotional for members of the cast, including actor Sumeet Sachdev, who became a household name for portraying Gautam ‘Gomzy’ Virani in the drama.
Sumeet recently shared a video from the set on his official social media account as the team filmed its final scene. He acknowledged the long journey associated with the show and thanked viewers for their continued affection for both the series and his character.
“We are shooting the final scene, our final scene of Kyunki Saas. So it’s a wrap up day, we are getting a little emotional. It’s been a long journey, it’s been lovely and all of you have been with us on this journey,” he said.
Expressing gratitude to the audience, Sumeet added, “Thank you so much for all the love for our show and for my character. So from Gomzi, this is goodbye and until we meet again, cheers.”
Ektaa’s farewell message and Sumeet’s emotional note mark the end of a significant chapter for the team behind the television drama, which ultimately ran far beyond its originally planned episode count.
