CT Public School proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of its alumnus, Kartik Chadha, who has been selected as an intern bowler for the prestigious IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings for the ongoing 2025 season.
An exceptional all-rounder, Kartik is known for his dynamic middle-order left-handed batting and sharp right-arm leg spin, showcasing an inspiring journey from school cricket to the grand stage of the Indian Premier League.
To honour this proud moment, a felicitation ceremony was held at CT Public School. The occasion was graced by Dr. Anurag Sharma, Director of CT Group of Institutions, along with Principal Ms. Saroj Chauhan and Vice Principal Ms. Sukhdeep Kaur. They acknowledged Kartik’s consistent dedication and hard work, commending his rise in the cricketing world and expressing immense pride in his success.
Kartik’s cricket journey has been illustrious since his early days. He represented India in the U-14 HKSZ World Cup held in Dubai in 2017, followed by participation in the U-14 School Nationals the same year.
His talent shone through in subsequent years as he played in the U-17 School States in 2018, and in 2019, he was awarded the Best All-Rounder in the Punjab District Games Tournament (U-16) and went on to win the prestigious M. L. Markand Trophy.
The same year, he represented Punjab in the BCCI’s Vijay Merchant Trophy, and in 2021-22, he emerged as the highest wicket-taker with 36 wickets in 9 matches during the U-19 Punjab Tournament for District Jalandhar.
Currently playing for Jalandhar in the U-23 category, Kartik has continued his stellar performance with 26 wickets in the Days Tournament, 13 wickets in the One Day format, and an impressive 9 wickets in the Sher-e Punjab Cup, the highest among all leg spinners. He also topped the Senior One Day Inter-District Tournament organized by the Punjab Cricket Association with 16 wickets in just 6 matches.
On this occasion, Kartik’s father, Mr. Vikas Chadha, shared his heartfelt gratitude and pride, saying, “It’s a proud moment not only for our family but for everyone who has been a part of Kartik’s journey.
