Amritsar, October 28, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Bibi Jagir Kaur has expressed grief over the deaths of three women participating in the farmers’ movement and injuries of others after being crushed by a speeding tipper at Delhi’s Tikri border.

In a press statement issued from the SGPC office, Bibi Jagir Kaur said that the annadaata (farmers) of the country have been sitting on the borders of Delhi for a long time for their legitimate demands but the Union government is not resolving their issues due to its stubbornness.

She said that so far hundreds of farmers have lost their lives in this movement which could not be compensated by any means.

Bibi Jagir Kaur said that today’s incident is very tragic in which three women farmers were killed and some others were injured.

The SGPC President said that the Prime Minister of the country should understand why the people of the country are sitting on the streets leaving their jobs and it is the duty of the Union Government to address their issues.

Bibi Jagir Kaur prayed for the souls of the deceased women, may rest in peace, and for recovery of the injured persons.
