Playback singer Armaan Malik has spoken about the importance of patience and gratitude, saying that people can pursue their dreams without overlooking the good things they already have in life.
The singer has lent his voice to ‘Sabar’, a song featured in ‘Bhoomi 2026’. Composed by Salim–Sulaiman, with lyrics by Shraddha Pandit, the track explores the idea that happiness lies not just in reaching a destination but also in appreciating the journey.
Rooted in themes of patience, gratitude and contentment, the song also resonates with Armaan’s personal experiences and his journey as an artist.
Speaking about the track, Armaan said in a statement, “What drew me to Sabar was its musicality and the thought at its heart. Singing it for Salim-Sulaiman’s Bhoomi project really challenged me, and I genuinely feel it is one of my best songs vocally. It is music I can be proud of years from now.”
He said the song’s message struck a personal chord, particularly because he had spent years pursuing his dreams, including ambitions related to his original music.
“I’ve had dreams that I’ve carried for years, especially with my own original music, so I connect with that reminder to keep believing and trust the journey,” he said.
Armaan also pointed to the pressure of comparing personal progress with the achievements of others, particularly when social media makes those accomplishments constantly visible.
“It is very easy to feel that someone else is racing ahead, especially when you can see everyone’s achievements all the time,” he said, adding that everyone’s journey is different.
According to the singer, patience helps people accept their individual circumstances, while gratitude encourages them to value what they already have.
“You can still have big dreams without feeling that where you are today is not enough,” Armaan said.
He expressed hope that ‘Sabar’ would offer listeners a moment of reflection and peace, particularly those going through periods when life is not unfolding as planned. He also hoped the song’s musicality would inspire aspiring singers to practise, learn and find joy in singing.
