Strongly condemning the attack on Shiv Sena leader in Ludhiana today, MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla has called it a failure of the government. He says that the pathetic law and order situation in Punjab is responsible for this, in which the fear of law has vanished from the minds of criminals.
Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that the government should take the strictest action in this matter. Whatever happened is extremely wrong. He said that if anyone has any problem or trouble with anyone, then he should register a complaint with the police under the Constitution and not go out to punish him himself.
He said that this is a huge failure of the government in which the fear and dread is disappearing from the minds of the people, this is very scary. He said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is busy in getting the by-election done with the entire cabinet but is ignoring his responsibility towards Punjab.
He said that with the formation of Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, the law-and-order situation has deteriorated badly and such accidents are happening continuously, hence the government should take strict action and the safety of the people should be ensured.
