AAP Punjab co-incharge Raghav Chadha arrives in Amritsar on 2-day state tour

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab’s newly appointed co-incharge and MLA from Delhi, Raghav Chadha, on Friday, arrived in Punjab for the first time on a two-day visit. Chadha was given a warm welcome by Punjab MLA’s, senior leaders and volunteers at Amritsar airport.

After arriving at ‘Guru ki Nagri’ Amritsar, Chadha first paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib and prayed for the welfare of Punjab, its culture and tradition, and the people. After this, he visited Sri Durgiana Temple and prayed for the prosperity of Punjab.

Chadha prayed to God that the demands of the millions of farmers of the country who were fighting for their rights and existence on the Delhi borders, be met as soon as possible. He prayed for courage to walk on the path of truth and strength to serve the people by following the path shown by the Gurus. On arrival at Sri Harmandir Sahib, he was presented with a siropa (robe of honour).

On the occasion, Chadha was accompanied by Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Punjab Legislative Assembly, Harpal Singh Cheema, deputy leader of opposition Sarabjit Kaur Manuke, MLA Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Prof Baljinder Kaur, Rupinder Ruby, Jai Kishan Singh Rodi, Manjit Singh Bilaspur, Kulwant Singh Pandori, Master Baldev Singh, Amarjit Singh Sandoya, Jagtar Singh Jagga, state general secretary of the party Harchand Singh Barsat, besides local leaders and a large number of volunteers were also present.

Addressing the mediapersons, Raghav Chadha said that the Aam Aadmi Party had entrusted him with a great responsibility by believing in him and he would fulfil it wholeheartedly. He said that the whole of Punjab needed a new direction at present and AAP would take a step towards building a new Punjab by filling this gap in future.
