Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Bathinda (Rural) MLA Rupinder Kaur Ruby on Friday called upon chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh in the Assembly and apprised him of the heavy losses due to floods damaging crops worth lakhs in the Bathinda area due to inadequate measures put in place by the government.

In a memorandum submitted to chief minister, Ruby said that the heavy flood waters had wreaked havoc in the Bathinda and demanded adequate compensation to the affected farmers, adding that it should be disbursed in a time frame.
