Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan turned 55 on Tuesday, with his wife Anna Konidala sharing a heartfelt birthday message for him on social media.
Anna posted a picture of herself with Pawan Kalyan on Instagram. The photograph shows the couple seated together by a windowsill, with Anna looking affectionately at her husband.
“Celebrating you today. You are in so many hearts, thoughts and prayers — a beautiful reflection of how many lives you have touched and how much you have given to others. Happy Birthday!” she wrote.
Pawan Kalyan is the younger brother of actors Chiranjeevi and Nagendra Babu and the uncle of actors Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Varun Tej, Niharika Konidela, Sai Durgha Tej and Panja Vaisshnav Tej.
He married Anna Lezhneva, a Russian citizen, in September 2013 under the Special Marriage Act at a Sub-Registrar Office in Hyderabad. The couple has a daughter and a son.
Apart from acting and politics, Pawan Kalyan is known for his interest in martial arts and reading. He holds a black belt in Karate and is an avid reader.
Kalyan made his acting debut in Telugu cinema with the 1996 film ‘Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi’. He subsequently delivered six consecutive hits, with films including ‘Tholi Prema’, ‘Thammudu’, ‘Badri’ and ‘Kushi’ becoming major successes.
He returned to the big screen with ‘Jalsa’ in 2008, which emerged as the highest-grossing Telugu film of that year. His subsequent successful films include ‘Gabbar Singh’, ‘Attarintiki Daredi’, ‘Gopala Gopala’ and ‘Bheemla Nayak’.
He was last seen in ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’, an action-comedy film directed by Harish Shankar. The film features Pawan Kalyan in the lead role, alongside Raashii Khanna, Sreeleela, R. Parthiban, K. S. Ravikumar, Ramki, Gautami, Nawab Shah, Rao Ramesh and Jayaprakash, among others.
