Bathinda, August 3, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, on Monday began its 21-day Student Induction Programme (SIP) 2026 with an inaugural ceremony for newly admitted students of AICTE and non-AICTE undergraduate programmes at the University Auditorium.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma inaugurated the programme and welcomed students from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, North-Eastern states and other parts of the country.

The first phase of the induction programme will continue from August 3 to 7, while the mandatory AICTE induction programme will be conducted from August 10 to 21 as per UGC and AICTE guidelines.

Addressing the students, Prof. Sharma encouraged them to remain curious, innovative and committed to excellence. Quoting, “The mind is like a parachute—it works best when it is open,” he urged students to maintain discipline, uphold values and become responsible representatives of the university.
