The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) has installed a new shed at Gurdwara Sri Bangla Sahib in New Delhi to improve facilities and provide greater comfort to devotees visiting the historic shrine.
DSGMC President Harmeet Singh Kalka said the initiative was undertaken with the blessings of Guru Sahib and reflects the committee’s commitment towards creating a safer and more convenient environment for the sangat.
He said thousands of devotees from India and abroad visit Gurdwara Sri Bangla Sahib, and the newly installed facility will help enhance their overall experience at the holy site.
Kalka described the addition as a step towards strengthening infrastructure at DSGMC-managed gurdwaras. He said every development initiative of the committee is aimed at ensuring that devotees are provided with comfort, safety, convenience and dignity while visiting Guru Sahib’s abode.
“DSGMC remains committed to continuously strengthening and modernising the infrastructure at all its historic gurdwaras,” he said.
DSGMC General Secretary Jagdeep Singh Kahlon said the committee would continue taking such initiatives in accordance with the changing needs of the sangat.
He added that DSGMC is focused on further improving facilities at Gurdwara Sri Bangla Sahib and providing better amenities to enrich the spiritual experience of devotees visiting the sacred shrine.
