Bringing laurels to Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), a Ph.D. scholar and an M.Sc. student from the Department of Biochemistry have been conferred with prestigious national recognitions at the BioThink Awards 2026, organized during the 8th Plant Science Researchers Meet (PSRM-2026), held at Tula’s Institute, Dehradun, on April 17 and 18, 2026.
Ms Shaila Sapehia, a recent doctorate in Biochemistry working under the guidance of Dr Yadhu Suneja, Biochemist, Department of Biochemistry, has been honored with the “Young Scientist Award.”
Ms Ramneek Kaur, a student of M.Sc. Biochemistry, also working under the supervision of Dr Suneja, has been awarded the “Young Researcher Award.”
Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor; Dr Vishavjeet Singh Hans, Dean, Postgraduate Studies; Dr Kiran Bains, Dean, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities; Dr Satvir Kaur Grewal, Head, Department of Biochemistry and Dr Yadhu Suneja, major advisor, congratulated the students and wished them continued success in all their future endeavors.
