Punjab’s Public Works Department Minister, Harbhajan Singh ETO, today visited Mehta Chowk, Jandiala Guru, and congratulated prominent local leader Sukhdev Singh Randhawa on his appointment as Chairman of the Punjab State Cooperative Agricultural Development Bank by the state government.
On this occasion, a large number of dignitaries, party workers, and local representatives were present and extended their best wishes to Sukhdev Singh on assuming his new responsibility.
Addressing the gathering, Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that this appointment has been made by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Singh Mann, and the senior leadership of the party as a recognition of Sukhdev Singh Randhawa’s dedication to public service and his close connect with the people.
He added that Sukhdev Singh Randhawa had been associated with the Congress party for a long time, but in 2024, he joined the Aam Aadmi Party after being impressed by the honest policies and people-centric initiatives of the AAP-led state government. He further stated that in a short span, he has rendered sincere and significant service to the party, which has now been rewarded with this important responsibility.
He further said that the Aam Aadmi Party values every worker and firmly believes in giving them their rightful recognition, whereas in previous governments even long-serving workers were often denied due respect. He emphasized that the government’s aim is to bring forward honest leaders committed to public service.
He urged Sukhdev Singh Randhawa to discharge his duties with utmost honesty and dedication, and to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach farmers and the general public. He added that this position holds great importance for the welfare of farmers and common people and will provide new direction to the development of the region.
On this occasion, the Cabinet Minister also congratulated Sarvarinder Singh on his appointment as Vice Chairman of the bank. He further extended his best wishes to the newly appointed directors – Gurbhej Singh, Vishal Sharma, Swinder Singh, and Mrs. Rajwant Kaur.
