Under the ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign launched by the Punjab Government, the district administration of Jalandhar successfully concluded the Jalandhar Premier League–2025 today as part of its initiative.
Speaking on the occasion of the grand final match today, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal said that the Jalandhar Premier League will continue in the same manner, and sports competitions will be organised every year under this initiative.
Dr. Aggarwal informed that 240 players from teams of 16 schools participated in the Jalandhar Premier League. He stated that these included 3 government and 13 private schools. He further said that since the start of the league on October 28, 2025, a total of 59 matches were played between various teams at different venues including CT Shahpur Campus, St. Soldier, DMS, and Ivy World School.
Reiterating the Punjab Government’s commitment to providing a constructive and positive environment for youth, the Deputy Commissioner said that this initiative would be continued in the future as well.
Dr. Aggarwal also expressed gratitude to the players and their parents for the overwhelming response to the Jalandhar Premier League.
On this occasion, Chairman of Vasal Education, Sanjeev Kumar Vasal, appreciated the efforts being made by the district administration to promote sports at the grassroots level. He said that Vasal Education is always ready to connect youth with sports and will continue to extend support to the district administration for such initiatives in the future as well.
Encouraging the players, he motivated them to actively participate in sports for the fitness of both body and mind.
