The Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) organised under the Punjab Government’s flagship education reform initiatives turned into a nostalgic and inspiring occasion for MLA Derabassi, S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa, as he visited the School of Eminence, Derabassi, his alma mater where he pursued his upper primary education.
Interacting with students, parents and teachers during the Mega PTM, the MLA lauded the visionary leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann for bringing about a revolutionary transformation in the education sector. He said that the conversion of government schools into Schools of Eminence stands as a strong reflection of the government’s commitment to providing world-class, inclusive and value-based education.
MLA Randhawa appreciated the confidence, talent and discipline of the students, stating that the new generation is setting new benchmarks in academics as well as co-curricular activities. He expressed satisfaction over the modern infrastructure, improved learning environment and innovative teaching practices adopted in the school.
Addressing parents, the MLA emphasised that parental involvement plays a decisive role in a child’s holistic development. He urged parents to actively support teachers in their efforts to impart quality education and inculcate good moral values among students, stating that meaningful collaboration between parents and teachers strengthens the foundation of a child’s future.
Recalling his school days, S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa said it was an emotional and proud moment for him to revisit the institution and witness its remarkable progress. He also appreciated the dedicated efforts of the school staff under the leadership of Principal Ms Harpreet Kaur for creating a positive, student-centric academic environment.
The Mega PTM witnessed enthusiastic participation from parents, teachers and students, reinforcing the objective of strengthening school-community engagement and ensuring quality education for every child.
